I paid the Railway carriage to London which amounted to

(I think) 3/11. I afterwards received an account of

the Insurance and Carriage from London to Hong Kong

from Messrs. Hickie, Borman & Grant & Co., Ltd., London

which amounted to £2. 9/-. I sent Postal Orders for

this amount and received the attached acknowledgement,

with Parcel keceipts. I sent these receipts to my

brother-in-law at Hong Kong, and informed him that my

account for this three cases and the former three cases

would amount in all to £9.

I have received no reply from my brother-in-law

neither have I received any money for my expenses,

incurred in making the cases and paying the carriage

and Insurance. I have destroyed all the letters I

received from Vollorecht referring to these transactions.
